Injectables
Injectables are minimally invasive cosmetic treatments used to refresh the face without surgery. They are generally divided into two main categories: neuromodulators (like Botox) and dermal fillers.
Botox (Neuromodulators)
Botox is a brand name for a purified protein that temporarily relaxes muscles.
How it works: It blocks nerve signals to specific muscles, preventing them from contracting.
What it treats: It is best for dynamic wrinkles, which are lines caused by facial movements like squinting, frowning, or smiling.
Common areas: Forehead lines, "crow's feet" around the eyes, and "11" lines between the eyebrows.
Timeline: Results usually appear in 3–7 days and typically last 3 to 4 months.
Dermal Fillers
Fillers are gel-like substances (often made of naturally occurring hyaluronic acid) injected under the skin to add volume.
How it works: They physically "fill in" hollow areas or deep creases to restore lost fullness or enhance features.
What it treats: They are used for static wrinkles (lines visible even when your face is at rest) and to contour the face.
Common areas: Plumping thin lips, lifting sagging cheeks, smoothing "smile lines" (nasolabial folds), and defining the jawline.
Timeline: Results are usually immediate and can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years, depending on the product used.
Radio Frequency Skin Toning and Slimming
Radio frequency uses high-frequency electromagnetic waves to generate controlled heat within specific tissues.
Aesthetic Treatments: In cosmetic procedures, RF heats the deep layer of the skin (dermis) to stimulate collagen and elastin production. This helps tighten sagging skin, reduce wrinkles, and improve skin texture.
Body Contouring:RF can be used to break down fat cells (lipolysis), helping to sculpt the body and reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Pain Management: Radio frequency uses heat to increase blood flow and circulation.
Microneedling- Collagen Induction Therapy
Using FDA Approved Medical Device *SkinPen*
- Microneedling is a mechanical process that stimulates collagen and elastin production. Collagen makes the skin firmer, more elastic, and younger-looking.
Reduces Fine Lines and Wrinkles: The increase in structural proteins helps to diminish the appearance of early signs of aging, particularly around the face and neck.
Improves Acne Scars and Other Scarring: The treatment remodels scar tissue and encourages healthy skin growth, which helps smooth depressed acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks.
Enhances Skin Texture and Tone: It helps to even out skin tone and reduce the appearance of enlarged pores, sun spots, and hyperpigmentation.
Safe for All Skin Types: Unlike some heat-based treatments like lasers, the SkinPen doesn't use thermal energy or chemicals, making it a safe and effective option for all skin tones, including darker skin, with a lower risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Minimally Invasive with Minimal Downtime: The procedure is generally comfortable with a topical numbing cream and only causes mild redness and sensitivity (similar to a sunburn) for 24-72 hours, allowing a quick return to normal activities.
Increases
Product Absorption: The micro-channels created during the treatment allow topical serums and other skincare products to penetrate deeper into the skin, maximizing their efficacy.
Versatile Treatment Area: The SkinPen is not limited to the face; it can be used on other body areas like the neck, chest, back, and hands to address various concerns.
